We design, engineer and supply genuinely bespoke roof lanterns, working from your architect's drawings or our own site survey, anywhere in the UK.
Bespoke starts with drawings. We take the architect's roof plan — or measure and draw it ourselves — and engineer a lantern to suit: hipped ends or gable ends, ridges off-centre to dodge a steel, three-sided designs against a parapet, double lanterns sharing a valley. Structural calculations cover the span and site wind loading; section drawings go back for approval before anything is fabricated. Glass can be acoustic, walk-on rated at upstand junctions, switchable-privacy or simply enormous. If a roof opening can take glass, we can usually put the right lantern on it.

Anything outside a standard rectangular, centre-ridge design — unequal hips, off-centre ridges, three-sided lanterns against walls, linked twin lanterns, unusual pitches or glass specifications. If your drawing doesn't look like a catalogue picture, it's bespoke.
Yes — that's the normal route. Send the roof plan and sections; we return engineered lantern drawings for approval, flag any buildability issues early and fabricate only once everything is signed off.
It depends entirely on what departs from standard. An off-centre ridge adds little; a 7-metre triple-hip lantern with acoustic glass is a different conversation. We price from drawings with no obligation.
Allow 4–8 weeks from approved drawings, longer for unusual glass. We'll commit to a fabrication slot when you approve, so the lantern lands when your build needs it.
Often, yes — shifting the ridge or splitting one large lantern into two smaller ones around the structure is a common bespoke solution. Send the structural drawings and we'll propose options.
