A roof lantern turns a flat-roof extension into the brightest room in the house. The raised glazed ridge pulls daylight in from every direction and adds real ceiling height, so a kitchen-diner feels taller, lighter and more open all year round.

We supply thermally broken aluminium lanterns in standard and made-to-measure sizes, with self-clean and solar-control glass options. Buy supply-only online with UK-wide delivery, or have our fitting teams handle the full installation.
Every lantern we supply uses a thermally broken aluminium frame, 28mm argon-filled double glazing as standard and concealed fixings for a clean internal finish. U-values run from 1.2 W/m²K depending on glass spec, and frames come powder-coated in anthracite grey, jet black or pure white inside and out — dual-colour on request. Standard sizes are stocked for fast delivery; anything else is fabricated to the millimetre. Installation is available nationwide through our own fitting teams, working onto new or existing flat roofs with a 150mm upstand.

Supply-only prices depend on size and glass specification — our online price list covers the standard sizes, and made-to-measure quotes usually come back the same day. Installed prices add the fitting, flashing and making good, and vary with roof access and upstand condition, so we confirm those on a free survey.
A 150mm minimum upstand is the standard requirement. It lifts the lantern clear of standing water on the flat roof and gives the flashing somewhere to dress. If your upstand isn't built yet, we'll supply the exact external kerb dimensions so your builder can form it ready for the lantern.
A correctly installed modern lantern shouldn't leak. Failures almost always trace back to the upstand or flashing rather than the lantern itself, which is why our installation teams dress and seal the junction as part of every fit, and why supply-only orders ship with full fitting instructions.
Yes — thermally broken frames and argon-filled units mean a modern lantern performs far better than the polycarbonate roofs people remember. With a solar-control upgrade the room stays comfortable in summer too.
Most single-lantern installations are completed in a day once the upstand is ready. Larger or multiple-lantern projects typically run one to two days including flashing and internal making good.
Send the form and we’ll come back with honest prices — supply-only or installed — with a response within 1 working hour.
