Yes — we cut in, trim the joists, form the kerb and make good the membrane as part of an installed retrofit. A survey confirms joist direction and any services in the void first.
The lantern doesn't, but the junction detail differs: EPDM wraps the kerb, GRP laminates onto it, felt is torch-dressed. We supply the right drawing for each.
Almost always the junction, not the lantern — short upstands, membrane finished under rather than over the kerb, or missing seals. Build the kerb right and dress the membrane right, and the assembly is dependable for decades.
A timber kerb at least 150mm above the finished roof surface, built to the lantern's external footprint. We issue exact dimensions at order so it's ready before the lantern arrives.
